Petite Boujee

Over the weekend I decided to make some new Boujee Doll Furniture for artwork displays when showing my customs. As usual, and for ease-of-quarantine, this whole project was done with items from the Dollar Store. They can also be made to use as a jewelry display, for crystals, or really anything you want a little fancy seat for.

Based on what was available at my local shop, I decided to many a Teeny Tiny Ottoman using an extra small jewelry box and a Small Velvet Stool made of a small wooden plaque. For the fancy Victorian looking legs, you can find jewelry box feet at most dollar stores or hardware stores, and if not you can always get them in bulk off Amazon.

For the top cushions I repurposed some small velvet bags with a bit of stuffing and some hand sewing. Once everything was dry I attached the cushions and some decorative page corners for that final Boujee look. To make the jewelry box look more like furniture remember to remove all the hinges and clasps and use the base only, the lid can be upholstered into a cushion with a piece of velvet.

You can make these with any piece of wood and some small decorations, in any color to fit your aesthetic. Remember to let them dry for a full day to fully cure any paint or glue before putting them to use, and then, Display!
